THERE will be additional emergency roadworks in Thurrock this evening as work is carried out to repair the A128.

Thurrock Council is to carry out urgent patching works tonight (Thursday, 18 February) on the A128 Brentwood Road heading north from the Orsett Cock interchange.

It says: "The aim is to complete as much as possible tonight under two way lights without requiring a need to revisit the area, but this will need be assessed after tonight's operation.

"We will be managing the flows of traffic to try and reduce the delays and it will be controlled via two way lights or stop/go boards."
