THURROCK'S Neighbourhood Watch has taken up and supported a plea by a Corringham family for any information that might help them get their stolen treasured pets back.

Mum Kirsty Louise Nye took to social media to report the theft of her three year-old daughter's Guinea Pigs from the family home in Lampits Hill.

She has called on anyone with information to contact her via Facebook, after saying: "To the heartless thief that decided to come into my garden and steal my three-year-old daughter's guinea pigs I hope you realise how much of a vile person you are!

"I really hope you feel proud of yourself!

"As if it's not hard enough with everything going on you've now added to that upset by stealing her pets! I now have a devastated three-year-old year old."

The co-ordinator of Thurrock Neighbourhood Watch, Julie Sorrell-Wilde, has shared Kirsty's story and repeated the call for information, saying: "These Guinea Pigs were stolen from a family garden. They are children's pets.

"If you know of anyone that has suddenly acquired little pigs or know anything at all please notify the owner, the police or myself by message (no questions!)."

Julie can be contacted via the Watch Facebook page.
