Pleas for witnesses after man was grabbed in possible abduction

POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses to an incident that happened in Stanford-le-Hope which may have been an abduction.

Investigating officers are seeking witnesses to the incident, which happened on Southend Road, underneath the Manorway, between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday, 2 June.

They are appealing for anyone who saw a man being pushed by two men into a black Jeep style vehicle to come forward.

The 25-year-old victim was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a blue polo top, blue trainers and grey long sleeved top.

The suspects were described as being one man who was white and the other was of mixed heritage.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has dash cam footage or saw what happened is asked to call Grays CID on 101 quoting reference 42/81195/20.
