LONELY and vulnerable members of the borough community were brought together at the latest event organised by the Thurrock brancj of the charity Re-engage.

Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers Re-engage brings local people who live on their own together for social events and has proved to be hugely benifical for many local people.

The latest gathering was at Ye Olde Plough House, Bulphan.

Regional organiser Loraine Coleman said: "Thanks to Ye Old Plough for their continued generosity and kindness. Our tea party guests had a wonderful time.

"Thank you to all our lovely volunteers for driving our guests today. Without their support these special events could not take place. Thank you to Maggie for organising."
