Police probing assault when man was sprayed

POLICE are investigating an assault that occurred at Lampits Hill, Corringham, at around 8.10pm on Tuesday (16 June).

During the assault, the victim, aged in his 20s, reported being sprayed with an unknown substance, though it is not believed to have been a corrosive.

He was taken to hospital for assessment and the investigation continues.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police and quote incident 1169 on 16 June.
