FOR the second morning running the early morning traffic on the M25 and adjacent roads in west Thurrock backed up following an incident on the motorway close to the QEII bridge.

Police closed the motorway to traffic in both directions while they dealt with the incident which involved people on the carriageway and happened around 7.30am today (Wednesday, 22 March).

The road was closed between junctions 1A and 1B.

All lanes have now reopened but delays continued in the immediate aftermath.
