Police confirm arrest of 15-year-old boy following stabbing in East Tilbury

POLICE have confirmed the arrest of a teenage boy following an incident in Gobions Park, East Tilbury, last night (Friday, 30 December) in which a man was stabbed in the leg.

The incident was reported on Thurrock Nub News.

A statement this morning from Essex Police says: "We were called to Princess Margaret Road in East Tilbury shortly before 6pm yesterday following reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

"The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his leg. 

"A 15-year-old boy is currently in custody, after being arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area today as enquiries continue."
