Police find drugs haul worth £400,000 after Thurrock arrests

TWO men have been charged in connection with an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs in Thurrock.

Police officers stopped a vehicle in Grays at about 2pm on Tuesday, 24 May and a search of the vehicle produced a quantity of what officers believed to be Class A drugs.

The arrests led to the serach of a property where police uncovered a further quantity of drugs with an estimated value of £400,000.

Gerard Gjoni, 27, of Harlington Road West, in Feltham, London, and Cahani Genti, 26, of Boswell Close, in Orpington, London, have been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

Gjoni is also charged with possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.

They were due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court today (Thursday, 26 May).
