Police help clear area after report of pub fight

POLICE helped staff at a local pub clear the bars after reports of a disturbance last night (Saturday, 25 September).

The incident happened at the George and Dragon pub in Linford.

A police statement says: "We were called to reports of a fight at an address in East Tilbury Road at around 10.40pm.

"Officers attended a short time later but when they arrived could not find anyone involved in a disturbance or anyone injured.

"They assisted the owner of the venue with ushering people out.

"No offences were reported to us by anyone at the location, no-one presented being injured, and no victims were identified."
