POLICE who issued a new call for help to after a Tilbury man, who they were increasingly concerned about after he went missing for a second time have announced he has been found safe and well.

The alarm was first raised after Matthew Haywood went missing after he travelled to London early last week but police then announced he had been located and was safe and well.

However, he has gone missing again, this time after travelling to Cambridge.

A police statement says: "Matthew, 48, was last seen in the Newmarket Road area of Cambridge on Thursday (9 September).

"He had been staying at a hotel in the area. He's described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium/athletic build, with a shaved head and grey beard.

"It is possible Matthew may still be in the Cambridge area but he may also have travelled away from that area.

"We're really worried about him and need to find him to make sure he's ok."
