Update. Bridge now reopened - Police incident shuts bridge and adds to traffic problems

POLICE closed the QEII bridge this morning (Saturday, 6 November) as they dealt with an incident.

The closure was enforced just before 10.30am and immediately traffic began backing up on the M25 and associated roads, including the A13.

Just after 12.30pm police said: "We attended an incident at A282, Dartford Crossing today after we received a call at around 10am (Saturday 6 November). The road is now reopened."
