THE outside wall of a Thurrock pub has once again been bedecked with an original painting to mark the remembrance commemorations.

It has become something of a tradition at the Kings Arms in Orsett to carry a tribute for the Remembrance weekend and today (Saturday, 6 November) Rayleigh-based artist Brett Mann created this year's artwork - his second at the pub.

Next Saturday Orsett will see its traditional Saturday morning remembrance weekend service at the village's remembrance garden in the heart of the village.

Nub News will be there to cover events.

Meanwhile onlookers can enjoy and pay their respects at the Kings Arms on the junction of Stifford Clays Road and Baker Street, though the painting will not be there for ever.

Landlady Pauline said: "I am hoping that Brett will be back to create a Christmas artwork for us later in the year!".

Meanwhile the Fox pub on neighbouring Orsett Heath has also put up a commemorative display with the RBL exhortation and images filling its windows.
