IN a bid to prevent disorder, Essex Police have implemented a disperal order in Grays that will run over the weekend.

The order is in place in Grays following concerns about anti-social behaviour in the area.

It will remain in place between 1.30pm, Saturday, 5 August and 1.30pm Monday, 7 August.

The area covered includes Grays train station, Grays beach and the area south of the railway line between the two locations.

Inspector Daniel Selby said: "It's important everyone in our communities can go about their daily lives uninterrupted.

"This order allows us extra powers to disperse any groups that are likely to cause distress or harass others in Grays this weekend."
