MEMBERS of Thurrock Police's Community Safety & Engagement team recently visited the 1st Ockendon's Scout Group!

Officers provided a 'show and tell' of Policing for Essex. The officer also highlighted the importance of communication, listening and respecting others.

The children were shown the uniform and the different types of police equipment, including the types of hats worn, handcuffs used, batons, and tactical vests.

They were also given the chance to see and sit inside a marked police van.

If you're involved with any local youth groups and would like the team to attend and give a crime prevention talk, or would just like officers to talk about general policing, email: [email protected]
