Police probe Grays stabbing

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault during which a 15-year-old boy received stab wounds.

Officers were called to Chestnut Avenue shortly before 10pm on Friday, 30 June following reports of a boy being seriously assaulted. 

The victim, a 15 year old boy sustained stab wounds to his leg and arm. Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.

A statement from Essex police said: "It's believed that the assault occurred shortly after a disturbance on Long Lane.  Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or have further information to get in contact.
