Police probe Tilbury stabbing

POLICE are investigating after a man was found with a stab wound to his leg in Tilbury.

The alert was raised at around 9.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, 24 June) when police recieved a call from the ambulance service stating a man in his 30s had been found injured in Adelaide Road.

His injury is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. He was taken by ambulance to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital.

A police statement says: "Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the incident. If you have any information about this incident please call us on 101 quoting incident 1378 of 24 June or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55 111."
