Police probing incident after youths put firework through door

SECURITY camera video footage has emerged of a group of three youngsters attacking a house in East Tilbury village with a firework.

The youths dropped the firework through the front door of the house which belonged to the mother of Peter Catton. She was not at home at the time of the incident, which was on Thursday, 18 November.

The firework exploded inside the house and started a small fire which fortunately extinguished itself.

Mr Catton, who believes the three youngsters are pupils at St Clere's School in Stanford-le-Hope, says: "It caused a small fire but could have been much worse if whole house had gone up.

"If anyone has any information on these three please message us or contact Essex Police who are investigating.
