Police probing Tilbury moped crash that left rider seriously injured

POLICE are investigating a collision involving a moped crash in Tilbury tfat left a man with serious injuries and are appealing for further witnesses.

The blue 500cc Yamaha moped collided with a fence in Cowper Avenue in Tilbury shortly before 5.35pm on Thursday, 12 March.

The rider, a 24-year-old man from Tilbury, was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury. He remains in hospital.

It is believed the same moped failed to stop for officers prior to this collision at another location in Tilbury.
