AN image of a man believed to live in the Stanford-le-Hope area has been released by police investigating an incident in which a car was driven at an on-duty police officer.

Officers want to speak to 35-year-old Luke Wall, who is also known as Ray Patmore. He is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall. He has a tattoo of the name "Thomas" on his upper right arm and a tattoo of the name "Theresa" on the left side of his chest.

The incident on Thursday, 28 April happened in Tiptree when an officer was attempting to make an arrest when a black Audi was driven at him. The officer escaped without injury but the police car and other vehicles were damaged. A pursuit followed but the driver of the vehicle fled at speed.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and are keen to trace the whereabouts of Wall/Patmore.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Essex Police on 999 or 101 quoting incident reference 42/66145/26.
