Police team raises profile in Tilbury

RESIDENTS in Tilbury have been reassured by police that an operation in the town was a proactive and positive one.
Concern was raised on Wednesday (9 April) when a significant number of officers were seen in Calcutta Road in the heart of the town.
However, Essex Police have assured residents there was nothing to worry about, saying: "Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team were carrying out proactive visits to local businesses to engage around anti-social behaviour and other matters."
And the Thurrock neighbourhood team added: "We're committed to making Tilbury a safer place for everyone.
"That's why we've been listening to the community and running joint operations with our partner agencies to tackle issues in our neighbourhood.
"Your vigilance can make a real difference! If you witness anti-social behaviour, don't hesitate to report it. By doing so, you help us keep our neighbourhoods peaceful and enjoyable for everyone.
"Report online via our website, use live chat or call us on 101.
"Let's join forces to create a safer, stronger community."
