POLICE in Thurrock have launched a public appeal as they try to locate a missing woman, Mary Smith, whi is 40 and from Grays.

A statement from police, who are advising people with information to call 999, says: "We're worried about her and are working hard to find her to make sure she's okay.

"Mary is described as a white woman, around 5ft 7ins in height, with black hair, potentially wearing a green zip-up hoodie and carrying a green flowery bag.

"There were possible recent sightings of Mary in the Hammersmith area of London.

"If you've seen Mary, or have any information as to her whereabouts, please call 999 quoting incident 27 of 11 June."
