THURROCK Council's litter team have been praised by a borough community stalwart.

Keith Harrington, who is one of the driving forces behind Little Thurrock's Community Forum, took to social media to say thanks for their support in keeping the area clean and helping complete a community call to action.

Mr Harrington said: "Many thanks to Antonio and Thurrock Council litter team for uplifting the rubbish hat we had collected on the last section of the cycle pathway from Little Thurrock down to the Asda Roundabout.

"Thanks also to Morrison's Utility Services, after one phone call for removing all of their road work signs and boards that had been abandoned along there."
