Pub chain says New Courthouse will reopen - but legal matters have to be resolved

PUB operators Stonegate say they have every intention of reopening the New Courthouse in Stanford-le-Hope but have to negotiate legal issues before they can do so.
The pub on King Street has had a recent chequered history.
The parent company was asked by Thurrock Nub News about the situation at the Courthouse, to be told: "Thanks for getting in touch. Apologies, there hasn't really been much we can say due to ongoing legal proceedings.
"The pub is currently closed but it will reopen again in the near future with new publicans."
