SUPER Saturday dawned in Thurrock this morning and across the borough there were quues outside barber's shops and haridressers across the borough, big smiles as cafes opened their doors and preparations were getting underway at many bars for an opening later this morning.

The relaxation of lockdown has breathed new life into high street businesses which are now allowe to open after more than 100 days of lockdown.

Particularly popular were hairdressers and barbers, some opening as early as 8am to cope with demand as lengthy locks were finally brought before the blade.

Thurrock Nub News' Facebook page has a number of live reports from around the borough as things began to open up.
