Serious accident at junction blocks access into Basildon
The junction where the accident happened. Both Staneway and High Riad are regularly used by drivers from Basildon heading towards Basildon town centre or shops and facilities in the north of the town.
ONE of the main roads in and out of Basildon from Thurrrock was closed this morning following a serious accident.
Police have reported: "We are currently on the scene of a serious collision in Langdon Hills.
"High Road at the junction of Staneway remains closed in both directions.
"Please avoid the area where possible and plan alternative routes if driving."
