Re-engage celebrate anniversary with successful event

ANOTHER successful afternoon tea eventorganised by Thurock branch of the Re-engage charity has been accomplished.
Volunteers from Balfour Beatty in Chafford Hundred host celebration party for guests of the charity, which supports lonely, vulnerable and elderly borough residents, on Tuesday (30 September).
The visitors and volunteers enjoyed bingo followed by a quiz about Thurrock.
Event co-ordinator Maggie Whitlock said: "Once again we can only thank all of our volunteers for getting our guests to and from the venue with lots of care and support. We can't do it without you."
Regional co-ordinator Loraine Coleman added: "Re-engage Thurrock had such a wonderful afternoon celebrating our 10-year anniversary with a special tea hosted by Balfour Beatty.
"A very big thank you to Lauren and her amazing team of volunteers for making it so special. There were brilliant prizes to be won in both bingo and a Thurrock quiz, which our guests loved!
"Thank you also to Maggie for organising today. And, as always, our deepest gratitude to our incredible volunteers who take such good care of our guests. We truly couldn't do this without you all."
If you would like to volunteer to help by helping host events or driving guests to and from their homes, your services will be much appreciated.
