Updated: Police confirm incident after midnight left a man wounded. Call goes out for information and witnesses.

POLICE have confirmed they are investigating an incident in Stanford-le-Hope which happened outside a local pub and left a man with neck injuries.
It is believed a weapon, posibly a screwdriver, was involved in causing a wound in an altercation outside the Railway Tavern pub.
A statement from Essex Police says: "We're investigating an incident in Stanford-le-Hope which was reported to us shortly after midnight this morning (Wednesday, 24 June).
"We were called to reports of a fight which was taking place in King Street.
"Emergency services arrived and found a man had sustained injuries to his neck which required medical treatment. Thankfully his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"At this stage, no arrests have been made and we're following a number of targeted lines of enquiry.
"There is a policing presence in the area this morning while our work continues."
Chief inspector Danny Barnes, Thurrock district commander, said: "This behaviour is not tolerated – in Thurrock or anywhere across Essex. We've progressed our investigation overnight and that work is continuing today."

King Street, the major town centre road in Stanford-le-Hope, was closed to traffic overnight and police remained on the scene this morning pending a further investigation into an incident.
The road was cordoned off around the Railway Tavern pub.
Meanwhile an officer at the scene said the road is likely to remain closed to traffic, possibly until mid-morning.
The adjacent pavement is passable for pedestrians.
