Santa delivers via Rotarians for great borough causes

By Neil Speight 13th Feb 2023

CHARITIES and good causes from across Thurrock received a belated Christmas gift courtesy of the Rotary Club of Mardyke Valley.

At a recent presentation evening held at Langdon Hills Gold Club Rotarians handed over the proceeds from their pre Christmas Santa's Sleigh runs across the borough.

Rotarians, often supported by representatives of the charities that benefitted , were out on 16 evening in the run up to Christmas and collected around £7,500.

The money was shared out between the good causes which included CHAPS, Clowns in the Sky, Yamaguchi Karate Club, Ockendon Scouts, Warrior Twins (Jenna Whyman), Thameside Young Producers, Re-engage,

Thurrock Mind, Belhus Cricket CLub and Katie's Heart Appeal.

The cheques were presented by the club's president David Westcott.
