DESPITE the problems with Covid, residents in Stanford-le-Hope, Corringham and Horndon on the Hill will still be able to catch an early glimpse of Father Christmas this year.

The Rotary Club of East Thurrock will be going ahead with their annual Christmas tours of the region with their Santa sleigh, though they will not be stopping to collect cash as normal for local good causes.

Instead residents will be asked to donate online or by text.

You can find out how to donate - and learn when Santa will be coming close to your street via the this link to the club's website which has all the details.
