YOUNG people are being given the opportunity to forge a career through a scheme launched in Tilbury.

The Inspiring Tilbury project is a 30-month project to support residents of the Tilbury St Chads, Tilbury Riverside and Thurrock Park Thurrock Council wards into sustained employment, training or education, delivered by Inspire Thurrock Careers.

The services available to the residents will include information and advice including regularly reviewed action plans, psychometric testing, mentoring, employability training, current and relevant local market information, job search training, job application training and youth engagement projects.

In addition to the support available from individual schools, young people in the borough aged 16 and over can receive free support in deciding their next steps, including education, employment and training, from Thurrock Careers Advisers at Inspire Youth Hub, Grays.

Appointments to learn more about the scheme take place on Tuesdays and Fridays only. To book call on 01375 413 735 or email [email protected].
