YOUNGSTERS from 2nd Stanford-le-Hope Scouts spent Thursday (6 June) evening showing their community commitment and green-fingered skills.

More than two dozen members of the group visited the town's Hardie Park for a litter pick, general clean up and to help tidy up plantings.

They watered hanging baskets and raised beds too.

Nine bags of rubbish and 25 watering cans later they enjoyed soft drinks and crisps with compliments of the Friends Of Hardie Park.

Earlier in the week members of 2nd Stanford were on a similar mission in the town centre. https://thurrock.nub.news/news/local-news/young-people-are-the-pick-of-the-town-231612
