A BUSINESSMAN from Stanford-le-Hope has called on Thurrock Council's traffic enforcement teams to show more awareness of the needs of local businesses.

Blaire Lloyd-Warne who runs vape shops including the popular [L] https://www.facebook.com/planetplumestanfordlehope/L+] Planet Plume [.L]shop on the Green in Stanford-le-Hope has raised his concerns about the lack of awareness of officers and called on local councillors to support the businesses on their patch.

He even described the enforcement officers as 'bully boys' when calling on Stanford West ward councillors Shane Hebb and Terry Piccolo to intervene and support shops in the town who he believes are being victimised by ill-thought out parking regulations and a policy of avoiding tackling some regular and known parking offenders.

Mr Lloyd-Warne even took photographs of enforcement officers and published them on social media after a vehicle delivering goods to his shop was ticketed – something which he says regularly happens.

He has called on the councillors to review the parking situation in Stanford, adding: "When will your bully boys stop destroying our businesses?"
