THE organiser and supporters of the charity horse and dog show held recently on the Orsett Showground have hailed its success - and are celebrating raising more than £2,000 for good causes.

The driving force behind the event was Alison Treadwell who says: "The charity horse and dog show held on the Orsett Showground on 28 August was a huge success!

"The final figure raised was £2,055.93 so each charity has had a payment of: £685.31.

"The causes were German Shepherd Rescue Elite, South Essex Wildlife Hospital and Hectors Gate.

"Thank you to all helped with sponsorship and offering services and the competitors on the day who together helped raise money for these local charities."
