Sue takes to the airwaves to share Chop Shop success story

THE continuing journey of Corringham's Chop Shop has been highlighted on BBC Essex Radio.
In November Thurrock Nub News reported on the reopening of the butchers, formerly the fantastic Chop Shop on St John's Way, by husband and wife team Rob and Sue Gough.
They succeeded Alan Robinson, who had run the business for more than 27 years, though he has remained withing the staff at the refurbished store.
The success of the business caught the eye of the local BBC Essex radio team and Sue recently featured on Sonia Watson's Morning Show.
Sue said: "Like many others we shopped over the years in supermarkets and noticed that the standards of meat were declining.
"The shop is very much a staple of the local community.
"We had no retail experience other than as shoppers and so we look at running the shop from a customer's perspective, though we have two fantastic butchers in the shop as well.
"We're able to make serving quality products the cornerstone of the business and while it may be a little bit more expensive than a supermarket, we have found that people really appreciate that.
"We are making sure the quality is there, everything that we are sourcing is as local as possible.
"We have two fantastic butchers in the shop, one of who is Alan who is immensely proud to be carrying on as part of the business and he enjoys seeing the customers he has known for so long."
