Our weekly preview of 'What's On in Thurrock' picks out a selection of events hosted on our events guide.

There's a throwback in time at the Thameside Theatre in grays on Friday night when the Sixtires will take centre stage.

The Sixties is a concert show that pays tribute to the decade that changed the world forever.

Featuring a fantastic live band, breathtaking dance routines and some of the best voices in the business, The Sixties brings you the greatest hits of the era, from these chart-topping acts, all cleverly interwoven with the top stories of the day:

The Beatles; The Rolling Stones; The Kinks; The Beach Boys; Dusty Springfield; The Who; The Ronnettes; The Everly Brothers; Lulu; Bobby Vee; Shirley Bassey; The Animals; The Hollies; The Monkees; Cream; The Shirelles; Procul Harem; The Mamas & The Papas; The Doors and many, many more...

Friday also sees the culmination of a year-long programme of events organised by arts Outburst.

Grays will be lit up with music and a parade of lanterns.

There will be a unique fundraising event at the Woolmarket in Horndon on the Hill on Saturday.

Come along to The Woolmarket at Horndon on the Hill and help raise some money for Liam Egalton to go back to Panama to get further stem cell treatment for his Multiple Sclerosis to help him walk again. 100% of money raised will be given to the Liam Egalton charity fund.

You can come in the morning to do dotting 10am - 1pm and can choose to do either the sunflower or pansy trinket dish, which will be £35 and then in the afternoon Liam's girlfriend Kayleigh is doing a wonderful sound bath from 2pm until 3pm which is £20 but if you book both it's £50.
