Grays Town Park will play host to a free arts and crafts children's workshop.

If you want to venture a little further waay - at least from the west or centre of the borough, why not pay a visit to Basildon, where the Eastgate Shopping centre is promising a day of family fun?

And the family fun theme continues at the Old Courthouse in Grays on Saturday.

There's a very special event close to Lakesideon Saturday with a football tournament to support Havens Hospices.

The event, from noon at the Lakeside Sports ground off the arterial road in West Thurrock (RM16 6DN) will feature 15 teams of dock workers from across the UK - and even further afield.

The 'International Dockers Tournament' will see a five-a-side event, just a part of a day of family and fun activities.

There will be face painting, inflatables, fund-raising stalls, an all day barbecue and a bar. Parking is free.

The fun will start at 12 noon.
