THE Port of Tilbury is planning its 2026 Open Day – an event that has become a hugely popular fixture on the local calendar.

It will take place on Saturday, 9 May from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

The port says: "Join us for a unique behind-the-scenes experience at the Port of Tilbury!

"Our Open Day gives you the chance to explore one of the UK's busiest ports and discover how it operates.

"With local community groups, charities, and businesses involved, it's a great day out for families and to connect with the community.

"As part of the wider Forth Ports Group, we are proud participants of the UN Global Compact and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

"Port of Tilbury Open Day is a practical way we bring this to life locally, strengthening our connection with the communities we operate in."
