SOUTH Essex College, which has a campus in Grays, is launching a number of courses for adults to start in spring 2021.

The college is encouraging people to start the new year with a positive step forward by taking control of their education.

Potential students can retrain, upskill or learn something new with the range of courses on offer including Functional Skills Maths and English, Computer Aided Design (CAD) plus Education and Training.

Nicki Kelly, Assistant Principal Curriculum, said: "2020 has been a difficult year for so many of us, we've faced challenges like no others and lots of people are unsure what the future holds. There is one thing you can control in 2021, your education.

"Many people's circumstances will have changed in 2020, redundancies have been common place so now could be the perfect time to increase your skills and change your career prospectus."

The college is also holding an adult education virtual event on Wednesday 13 January at 10am-1pm. The Career Clinic will give people information about courses they can study to help them retrain and upskill.

The event will include a virtual workshop with Ross Chaplin, owner of The Training Team Ltd, discussing topics such as identifying your skills and strengths, working out what's important in a career and how to change careers. To register to attend the event, use this link.
