Staff praised for supporting Coronation celebration

THURROCk Council, through its 'Housing News' newsletter has thanks members of its sheletered housing teams for helping older brough resdeints celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

It has released a montage of pictures of celebrations at a number of venues.

Residents at Piggs Corner, Grays, enjoyed a party organised by Piggs Corner Social Club; at Kynoch Court, Stanford-le-Hope, 23 residents watched the Coronation together; Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr James Halden, joined residents at O'Donoghue House, Stanford-le-Hope for their Coronation celebrations; at Freeman Court, Corringham, a number of residents watched the Coronation together and enjoyed afternoon tea and residents from complexes across Thurrock including Jack Evans Court, Helford Court, Benyon Court, The Sycamores, New Maltings, Broome Place, The Rowans and Mulberry Drive enjoyed listening to the Purfleet Primary Academy and New Covenant Church Purfleet choirs, a raffle and entertainment from the Travelling Tilburies 

A statement says: "Thank you to our Sheltered Housing Officers for supporting and putting on these events for our residents."
