THE 38th Thurrock Beer and Cider Festival will take place from Tuesday, 6 June to Saturday, 10 June at the Civic Hall at Blackshots.

The festival has been organised and staffed entirely by volunteers under the Southwest Essex Branch of CAMRA.

On offer will be a wide selection of different beers, ciders, perrys plus a broad selection of English county wines and mead. Hot and cold food will be available.

The event will include live enetertainment

One of the leading festival organisers Simon Harrison says: "I am very much looking forward to meeting you whatever session you attend or in fact if you will be at every session, I know I will be.

"If at any point you are at the festival and would like to have a chat about anything, please ask for me. We run our festival with about 80 volunteers. If you have been to the festival previously and would like to volunteer, please see one of our professional foyer team.

Hypo Hounds

"Each year the festival selects a charity to support this year it will be Hypo Hounds. Hypo Hounds is a Diabetic Alert Assistance Dog Charity. Please help us to help them.

"Beer is great, cider and perry are great, and festivals should be a fun place for everyone to enjoy them.

"CAMRA welcomes all visitors to our festival and looks to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment in which to enjoy beer and cider, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disabilities, or socio-economic status. In attending this festival, visitors, volunteers, and external company representatives working at the festival are agreeing to treat each other fairly and with respect.
