A TREE has toppled at the junction of The Green and Wharf Road in Stanford-le-Hope.

No-one is reported injured in the incident which happened late on Monday (23 August) afternoon.

The area is being managed by police officers who are guiding traffic.

A team from Thurrock Council highways arrived at around 6.30pm to make the area safe. They have also spotted a lamp and street sign damaged in the tree's fall and are bringing in experts to make that safe.

And members of St Margaret's Church turned up to help.
