Mr Misalamany's response has been described as amazing by Cllr Baker, who told Thurrock Nub news: "Balen replied in a way that no one expected and he donated £1,200 to the local school's charity fund to help keep school meals running, even outside of term time and over the Christmas period.

"As a result of Balen's incredible generosity, Somers Heath School has been able to do considerably more to help under-privileged children.

"Balen has really stepped up to the mark to help his local community and is a role-model for all business owners at this difficult time. I can't thank him enough for what he's been able to do and I speak for the parents of these children when I say 'thank you' to Balen".
