Store welcomes cadets and Legion for launch of appeal

By Neil Speight   1st Nov 2021

MORRISON'S store in Grays proved a focal point for the weekend launch of the Royal British Legion's poppy appeal in Grays.

After a formal flagraising at the town's war memorial on Friday morning members of the legion and army cadets visited the store on Saturday.

The store's community champion Tarnya Bennett said: "We were absolutely delighted to welcome our friends from The Royal British Legion and the cadets from Grays Detachment Essex Army Cadet Force.

"They have launched our Poppy Appeal today and look forward to welcoming our shoppers' donations."
