Teenager hurt as three men break into home to commit burglary

A YOUNG man a was assaulted and injured by three men who broke into a property in Richmond Road in Grays.

The aggravated burglary took place yesterday (Tuesday, 2 June) when the men broke in and assaulted a teenager inside. He was later taken to hospital with a head injury.

A police statement said: "We believe this to be a targeted incident.

"Anyone with information is asked to please call us on 101 quoting crime reference 42/78885/20.

"Information can also be given completely anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111."
