ORGANISERS of this year's Orsett Show, which has been hailed a great success on its return after a two year absence because of covid, have paid tribute to the sponsors whose support made it possible.

The Port of Tilbury was the Headline Sponsor once again and show secretary Georgina said "We would like to thank the Port of Tilbury for their continued support of the Orsett Show and we were delighted to be able to have a Show this year. We hope that everyone who visited the Show had a great day.

"Show Day would not happen without the support of our Sponsors, Traders and the great team of volunteers who work tirelessly not only on the day but the period leading up to it. Without their support the Show would not be the success it is. Thank you all"

Paul Dale, Asset and Site Director of The Port of Tilbury said: "What a brilliant day it was at the Orsett show on Saturday. After a gap of two years due to the pandemic, it was great to have our team back at the showground with our stand. As a major employer in Thurrock, we were honoured to be the main sponsor of this fantastic community event. Well done to all the organisers, it was a great event!"

Next year's Show will be on Saturday, 2 September.
