A BOROUGH charity has expressed its thanks after a successful sleigh run in Belhus.

Supporters of ReEngage (formerly Contact The Elderly) joined the Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley for their festive tour of the South Ockendon community last night.

Local coordinator Loraine Coleman said: "A big thank you to all the very generous families who donated this evening for lovely charities that the Rotary Club support.

"Thank you to all our volunteers and grandchildren for being fabulous Santa's helpers."
