THE gas leak that closed Thurrock's Thameside Complex yesterday has been found - meaning a music tribute act will still be able to perform in its theatre this evening (Friday, 10 March).

All facilities at the complex, including the museum and library were closed after the building was evacuated yesterday.

There were fears that tonight's Elton John tribute show might have to be cancelled but this afternoon Thurrock Council gave a musical 'all clear';.

A statement said: "The gas system has been isolated in the Thameside Complex and this evening's performance of The Elton John Show is going ahead as planned.

"The building is entirely safe so Friday Night is Alright and the show is Still Standing, as planned.
