The end of an era in Corringham as butcher Alan makes his last chop

THE closure of one of the most popular shops in Corringham has been announced and it will close its doors for a final time this weekend.

The Fantastic Chop Shop is a traditional independent butcher's at 16 St John's Walk and has traded there for almost three decades.

Owner Alan Robinson has announced: "After much deliberation and hard thought I have made one of the hardest decisions of my life.

"As of Saturday, 24 August I will be sadly closing The Fantastic Chop Shop

"I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and custom over the last 27 years."
