Lorry sheds load and M25 tailbacks build up

By Neil Speight 25th Nov 2021

SIGNIFICANT traffic queues have built up on the Kent side of the Dartford crossing, backing up several miles on the M25 anti-clockwise carriageways.

The problem is a lorry that has shed its load on the exit from the right hand tunnel, which has been closed as a result. The accident happened at around 10am.

The left-hand tunnel remains open.

Congestion continued throughout the afternoon. There were still severe tailbacks at 3.30pm. However, with both tunnels open traffic was beginning to flow and the length of the tailbacks began to diminish, though it was still taking around a 20 minute crawl to get through.
