THE clock is ticking towards to the return of one of the borough's most popular events after a two year absence because of covid.

The annual Orsett Show will take place at the village showground off Rectory Road on Saturday, 3 September.

Gates will open at 9am.

The usual events will be taking place including steam engines, parades of vintage cars and motorbikes, helicopter rides over the borough, many stalls, stunt displays and craft and art exhibition.

Online tickets are now on sale, visit the show website. If you book in advance there is a saving as online tickets cost £12 for adults and £10 for concessions, while on the day it is £15 and £13. Children under 16 are admitted free under both methods.

Once again the show's main sponsor is the Port of Tilbury.
